M Meridian TecGear
Deep & Decompression Specialists

Serious rental hardware for the divers who go deep.

Meridian TecGear is a rental operation built entirely around deep and decompression diving. From our base on the Marseille waterfront we supply the specialised equipment that demanding descents require, prepared to a standard that experienced technical divers immediately recognise. Twinsets, sidemount systems, stage and decompression cylinders, thermal protection, and precision instruments are all serviced, configured, and handed over ready for the water, so the only thing you carry into the dive is confidence in your kit.

We treat every rental as a shared piece of planning rather than a counter transaction. Tell us the depths, the gases, and the objectives you have in mind, and we help you assemble a coherent, redundant, and correctly fitted setup that matches your training. The result is a smoother, calmer dive day where equipment worries fade into the background and your attention stays where it belongs: on the descent, the team, and the discipline that deep water rewards.

Who We Are

A rental house dedicated to technical diving.

Meridian TecGear grew out of a frustration shared by technical divers everywhere: reaching a promising stretch of coastline only to find that suitable deep and decompression equipment was almost impossible to hire locally. We set out to build a rental operation devoted entirely to serious diving, stocked and maintained to a standard experienced divers would recognise and trust.

We are not a general watersports shop that happens to keep a few cylinders in the back. Our entire inventory, servicing routine, and advice are oriented around the specific challenges of depth, obligation, and redundancy, which lets us prepare equipment with a level of care that broad-spectrum outlets rarely match.

Why Divers Choose Us

Advantages that matter when the water gets deep.

Purpose-Built Deep Inventory

Every regulator, wing, and harness in our fleet is chosen for the demands of deep and decompression diving rather than casual use. We stock cold-water sealed first stages, high-flow second stages, and balanced configurations that stay predictable at depth, where breathing resistance and gas density become genuine concerns. The inventory is reviewed against evolving technical standards, retiring hardware before it becomes marginal and adding proven components that perform under load. When you collect a kit, it has been assembled with the pressures, temperatures, and margins of serious descents in mind.

Meticulously Serviced Kit

Decompression diving leaves no room for equipment neglected between outings. Each item passes through a documented service cycle covering pressure testing, O-ring inspection, valve function, buoyancy integrity, and hose condition before it is cleared for hire. We keep detailed maintenance records for every serial-numbered component, so the twinset or stage rig you carry has a traceable history rather than an unknown past. This discipline matters most on long ascents where a failure cannot be solved by heading to the surface, giving you gear that behaves consistently across repetitive dives and extended bottom times.

Advice From Technical Divers

Renting the right hardware is only half of the equation; configuring it sensibly is what keeps a deep dive calm and controllable. The people who prepare your kit are active technical divers who understand trim, weighting, hose routing, and gas management from experience rather than a catalogue. We talk through your planned depth, gas choices, and objectives, then help you set up a rig that matches your training and comfort. That conversation often prevents the small ergonomic problems that quietly erode focus once you are well below the surface.

Failure-Tolerant Configurations

Deep and decompression environments demand equipment that keeps working when a single component does not. Our configurations are built around genuine redundancy: isolated manifolds, independent gas sources, backup lights, and secondary instrumentation that let you continue safely rather than abandon a dive. We explain how each redundant element is meant to be used, so the backups on your rig are genuinely accessible under stress rather than decorative. When you plan a dive with a meaningful obligation ahead of you, that built-in tolerance for failure turns an incident into a manageable moment.

Flexible Expedition Windows

Technical projects rarely fit into a neat single-day booking. Weather windows shift, expedition schedules stretch, and multi-day training blocks need equipment that stays with you throughout. We offer flexible rental periods designed around real technical itineraries, whether you need a rig for a focused weekend, a full week of progressive dives, or an extended exploration effort. Longer commitments keep the same familiar setup in your hands across consecutive days, sparing you the disruption of reconfiguring unfamiliar gear each morning and letting teams plan with genuine confidence.

Coastal Logistics Support

Operating from the Marseille coastline gives us a practical advantage we pass directly to clients. We understand local access points, launch logistics, and the rhythm of diving the deeper sites within reach of the port, and we prepare kits so they are ready to move the moment you are. Cylinders are handed over clean, inspected, and compatible with the fills your plan requires, and we coordinate around your timing so collection never becomes the bottleneck. For visiting divers, this grounded local support removes a layer of uncertainty before the descent.
